The mission of the Polish Cultural Institute and Museum is to collect, exhibit, interpret and disseminate the heritage of the Kashubian Polish Culture.
Volunteers needed for a once monthly commitment. There is no age limitation. Physical needs would be walking, standing and minimal light bending. No lifting. Ongoing opportunities include tour guides, housekeeping, maintenance, typing, computer work.

- August – Dozynki(harvest festival)
- October – Smaczine Jablka(apple festival)
- December – Oplatek Sunday(a Polish Christmas tradition)
MMAM is an inspiring, meaningful, and exciting experience. The MMAM exhibits 10 or more historical or contemporary exhibitions, and hosts educational experiences for thousands of people each year. The Museum’s exhibitions and programs are inspired by one of the highest quality collections of art in the country. The Museum’s initial collections focused on traditional marine or maritime art, however, through a collection on long-term loan, today the MMAM is home to a large variety of the greatest European and American masters.
The Minnesota Marine Art Museum engages visitors in meaningful art experiences through education and exhibitions that explore the historic and ongoing human relationship with water. The Minnesota Marine Art Museum is always looking for volunteers. Your contribution, dedication, and commitment are vital to the museum’s growth. Each volunteer opportunity, although different, contributes an important part to the organization as a whole.

The Winona Arts Center is a creative network committed to increasing community awareness of the arts by featuring the work of local and regional artists, providing an intimate and unique environment for performances and exhibits and encouraging public participation by providing studio space, classes and workshops for children and adults. The Winona Arts Center and local artists often collaborate to offer classes and workshops for the community.
The WAC would like to do so much more for this community. To do so they need more volunteers. If you are interested in working in the gallery, or participating on a committee, complete the volunteer form.
The Art & Design Department holds six professional exhibitions featuring contemporary artists, a juried student exhibition and several Capstone exhibitions each year. The Watkins Gallery is named for Paul Watkins, who donated part of his private collection to the university.
The Winona County Historical Society is in the southeast corner of Minnesota. Operating three museums and offer a wide variety of exhibits, programs, workshops and events. Many researchers of all levels find The Laird Lucas Library and Archives, housed in the Winona County History Center, a valuable resource.
Visitor Services/Gift Shop:
Looking for outgoing people who can multi-task to work at the front desk. You will be responsible for answering the phone, directing visitors, ticket and shop sales, and admissions. Minimum requirement of 3 four-hour shifts each month. Those interested in applying can stop in and fill out an application at the History Center.
The Lillian Davis Hogan Art Galleries at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, free and open to the public, present six to eight exhibitions per calendar year. Artwork by local, regional and international artists and artisans are frequently featured as are the talents of Saint Mary’s students and faculty.
