Jennifer’s mission is to provide encouragement to anyone wishing to get healthy. Healthy does not mean skinny! It means overall wellbeing, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Without all three, you cannot be totally healthy. Services include classes, retreats, workshops, training, individual sessions, and wellness coaching.
The Winona Tennis Center is an indoor, not-for-profit facility serving Winona, Minnesota, La Crosse, Wisconsin, and surrounding communities.
The Center features six hard courts and offers a variety of programming including private and group lessons or drills, recreational play, competitive (USTA) leagues, and more. The Center can also be rented by high school and college teams for matches, practices, tennis camps, or tournaments.
It’s never too early–or too late–to begin enjoying this lifelong sport.
A FREE drop-in recreation center. All are invited to come and play. Free access to a gym, table tennis, pool tables, skate park, and preschool open gym with toys.
Patrons must be at least 6 years old to attend the ERC without an adult.

Karate for all ages.
Karate-Do is excellent for self-defense and physical conditioning. It strengthens and stretches all the muscles of the body while providing aerobic exercise. People can work and learn at their own pace - either in a formal class, or on their own - with very little space or equipment. Most people find that karate training builds concentration and self-discipline. Karate can be practiced by people of all ages and all sizes.
Minnesota Genbu-kai has been teaching karate-do in Winona for over 50 years.
The SMU Ice Arena is attached to the school’s 78,000 square foot Recreation and Athletic Center (RAC) facilities. The RAC includes an 8-lane competitive pool, 200-meter indoor track, and 4 multi-purpose courts. Along with the RAC, the university’s outdoor recreation facilities include baseball, softball and soccer fields, as well as 15 miles of cross country trails. Community members can call to find out when they are invited to use these facilities.

The Winona Friendship Center has a variety of volunteer opportunities. The Center is selected as a Retired Senior Volunteer Station and many volunteers are needed to perform light clerical duties, assist in collaborative programs, work in subcommittees, help with special events and recreational programs. Friendships Forever is a current volunteer need. Volunteers will go into the homes of older adults who can not physically make it to the Friendship Center. The volunteer will then Skype with the Center, using one of the Center’s iPads, so the older adult is able to participate in Friendship Center programs from the comfort of their own home. · Key Kids/Summer Key Kids is a child care program held after school, on non-school days and snow days for children enrolled in Kindergarten through Fourth grade. Summer Key Kids offers child care for children who have finished Kindergarten – Fifth Grade.
· Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) welcomes all families with children age birth to kindergarten. They offer information about child development and parenting techniques and give children opportunities to discover and learn.
· Community Preschools is located at Goodview Elementary.
· Early Childhood Screening is a FREE screening for all 3 – 5 year olds, available by appointment. This is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and developing.
