What’s that? Of course I trust you … generally. But besides the well-known facts that we tend to lie about our weight and misjudge our eating habits, research also tells me that we often feel hungrier and eat more during the winter months. It’s not clear whether this is a response to the coldness or the darkness or simply because holiday parties tempt us with weight-gaining desserts, but if we’re not mindful we can unknowingly eat up to 200 more calories per day. At first that may sound hard to believe, but not after you consider that folks gain an average of two to three pounds during the winter.
