The clothing closet was established to support attendance and academic achievement of all low-income and unserved populations. All clothing and other resources are provided to students in need free of charge. The items are distributed in a manner that maintains dignity and to demonstrate respect to all students who access the closet. The vision to create a community of lifelong learners, engaged in creating our culture, where all are safe, valued and accountable to one another for success.
List of Current Needs – The WSHS Clothing Closet:
1. Hooded sweatshirts & sweatshirts (and zip ups).
4. Shoes (many students do not have warmer shoes or suitable shoes for winter).
5. Dress clothing to support needs of students in extracurricular activities – Winhawk gear specifically.
6. Athletic pants
Gift Cards: it would be nice to have a collection of gift cards from local stores to support others needs.
Donations are accepted Monday-Friday 8am-3:45pm. Individuals coming to WSHS between hours of 9am-3:30pm will need their identification as a temporary ID badge will be needed to secure access to the building to drop off their donations in the counseling office. If needed, arrangements can be made before and after school by setting up an appointment with Angela McQuinn by calling or emailing directly (507) 494-1461 or [email protected]
